Urgent Shower Renovation with Premium Wall Panels
Project Overview
We were approached by a customer who needed an urgent renovation of their shower unit due to a previous leak. The goal was to refresh the shower area while keeping the existing shower tray and glass surround intact. Thanks to the use of premium waterproof wall panels, we were able to complete the project in just one day, minimising disruption for the customer and delivering a durable, modern solution.
Scope of Work
This renovation required careful removal of the old fixtures and tiles, followed by the installation of new, low-maintenance wall panels and an upgraded shower mixer. Below is a breakdown of the tasks completed.
Removal of Existing Shower Components
The glass shower enclosure was carefully removed to allow access to the walls for tile removal and panel installation.
We removed the old wall tiles, shower mixer, and hose, clearing the space for a fresh installation.
Wall Preparation
After the tiles were removed, we prepped the walls to ensure a smooth and secure surface for the installation of the new shower panels.
First Fix Plumbing
Completed the first fix plumbing for the new shower mixer, ensuring it was properly fitted and aligned for the new setup.
Premium Wall Panel Installation
The premium waterproof hardboard wall panels were scribe cut to fit the space perfectly, even around tricky areas like the shower mixer and tray.
We installed metal satin end cap beads to finish the edges of the panels, providing a sleek, modern look.
Sealing & Second Fix
The wall panels were sealed for watertight protection, ensuring no future leaks would occur.
Installed the new shower mixer and completed the second fix plumbing, securing it in place.
Reinstallation of Shower Enclosure
The original glass shower surround was reinstalled, and we sealed the enclosure and shower tray to ensure everything was watertight and ready for immediate use.

The renovation was completed within a day, transforming the shower area into a modern, leak-proof space without needing to replace the tray or enclosure. The premium shower wall panels provided a sleek, durable finish that requires minimal maintenance, and the new shower mixer added an upgraded, luxurious touch to the unit.
