Project Overview
Our client wanted to transform their bathroom by replacing an old bathtub with a modern, easy-to-maintain shower unit. Given the unique contour of the bathroom walls, this project presented some challenges, particularly in framing the area for the new shower. However, with our experience and attention to detail, we delivered a premium solution that beautifully met their requirements.
Scope of Work
This shower room transformation involved removing the existing bathroom suite and creating a sleek, waterproof, and stylish shower room. Here's a step-by-step overview of the tasks completed.
Removal of Existing Suite
The old bathtub, toilet, and sink were carefully removed to clear space for the modern shower unit.
First Fix Plumbing
We completed the first fix plumbing for the new shower, toilet, and sink, ensuring all the pipes and fixtures were properly aligned for the updated layout.
Stud Framing
Given the unusual contour of the wall, we constructed a custom stud frame to create a secure and level foundation for the new shower enclosure.
Wall Preparation
The walls were plasterboarded and skimmed to provide a smooth and durable surface for installing premium shower panels.
Waterproof Wall Panels Installation
Installed high-quality, premium waterproof hardboard wall panels, which offer a durable, stylish, and low-maintenance solution for shower rooms.
Added metal satin end cap beads for a clean and professional finish.
Shower Tray & Enclosure Installation
We installed the shower tray and then fitted a sleek glass shower surround, ensuring both were securely in place and watertight.
Toilet and Sink Installation
Boxed in the area behind the toilet for a tidy look, and installed a pedestal sink that complements the modern design.
Completed the second fix plumbing for all the new fixtures, including the shower, toilet, and sink.
Decoration
We decorated the shower room to tie everything together, ensuring the space looked fresh and modern.
Outcome
This transformation resulted in a clean, modern shower room with a functional layout and stylish finish.
